I. Ted Cruz & Heidi Cruz: 20 years
American Politician/Lawyer Ted Cruz is a US Senator from Texas but recently found himself in the crosshairs of the Lone Star State. In the year 2021, he unwisely decided to take a short vacation in sunny Cancun while Texans suffered a winter power crisis. The press was highly critical off Cruz’s trip.
But we believe Cruz’s good name can take a hit and survive to tell the tale. Fortunately, the senator can count on the loving support of his wife of 20 years, Heidi Cruz. She is a managing director at Goldman Sachs and served under George W. Bush in the White House.
II. Ilhan Omar & Tim Mynett: 2 years
If the lovely Ilhan Omar may seem very different from most American politicians, that’s because she is. She is the first naturalized citizen of African descent to enter Congress and is running to make a change as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Minnesota.
Omar was married and divorced twice before meeting political consultant Tim Meynett. Together since 2020, Omar and Mynet have already been at the center of a major controversy when it was revealed that Tim’s firm had received $2.78 million in contracts from Omar’s 2020 campaign.

US President Joe Biden had been going through a rough patch before he met his wife of 44 years, teacher Jill Jacobs. He had been widowed since 1972, the year that marked the tragic deaths of his first wife Nilia and one-year-old daughter Naomi, who died in a car crash. According to Biden, it was Jill who renewed his interest “in politics and life.” Biden moved on from the tragedy and became one of America’s most important political figures. He was chosen to become vice president to Barack Obama in 2009 and rose to the top of the White House in 2021.
IV. Barack Obama and Michelle Obama: 29 years
Barack Obama will go down in history as the first African American president of the United States. He served two terms and, although he had his critics, he was considered a very popular public servant. His immense popularity is perhaps only surpassed by that of his wife: after all, who wouldn’t love the beautiful and charismatic Michelle Obama?

Before she knew Kushner, Ivanka dated investment banker Greg Hersch and producer James Bingelmann.
VI. Melania Trump and Donald Trump: 16 years
If you’ve watched the news at least once in the last five or so years, you’ve probably seen these two. Once a show biz power couple, Donald and Melania rose to the top of the political world when Trump was elected President in 2017.
Kushner and Trump enjoyed being at the center of things during Donald Trump’s presidency, as they were extremely close to the decision-making process of the White House. They reportedly have reported assets worth $740 million.

The separation was finalized in 2020, with Sarah Palin citing “temperament incompatibility” as the reason for the breakup.

IX. Bernie Sanders and Jane Sanders: 33 years
They say the good ones finish last, but Vermont US Senator Bernie Sanders has managed to change that old adage. Although he never succeeded at winning the Democratic primary, he is an active and influential political figure for over three decades. Known for his progressive policies, Bernie Sanders has been a happily married man for almost as long.
After his divorce from Deborah Schilling in 1966, he had to wait over 20 years to find true love again. He did so when his wife of 33 years, the American welfare worker Jane Sanders, met him. They were united in marriage in 1988 and traveled to the USSR the day after the marriage ceremony.
X. Kamala Harris & Doug Emhoff: 7 years
Here’s a powerful couple: the first female, African-American and Asian vice president in U.S. history is married to Doug Emhoff, a lawyer who recently became the first second male gentlemen in history. While less confident men would hate the title, Emhoff excels at it: he is a role model when it comes to being a loving and supportive husband.
Harris and Emhoff met on a blind date in 2013 and were united in marriage about a year after that. They have been dating for 7 years and we expect their love affair to become even stronger in the future.
XI. Nancy Pelosi & Paul Pelosi: 58 years
Nancy and Paul Pelosi have been dating for a lifetime. They met at university and got married in 1963. Since then they have managed to look after five children and become one of the most powerful couples in America. We don’t know how they find the time, but it looks like they always do: Nancy is the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, while Paul is a successful businessman. Remarkably, these two are still active at the respectable ages of 81 and 80. Nancy has been an active public servant since 1981, while Paul continues to run his real state and venture capital firm.

Rashida Tlaib is a member of the US House of Representatives for Michigan and a prominent member of the Democratic Party. Born in Detroit, she is the oldest of 14 children and is the first Palestinian-American female member of Congress.
In 1998, Ms. Tlaib married the very discreet Fayez Tlaib, about whom little is known. They have had two children together, but are now divorced. They finalized their divorce in the year 2015 and since then Rashida has been described as a ‘single mother’. XV. Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao: 28 years together
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a very happy man. His political talent is undeniable, but perhaps his even greater talent is in the art of seduction. In 1993, he married the gorgeous Elaine Chao, an American businesswoman, and politician who most recently served as Donald Trump’s Secretary of Transportation. Before that, she served as the 24th Secretary of Labor under George W. Bush.
Prior to his marriage to Chao, McConnell was previously married to Sherrill Redmon, with whom he had three children. McConnell and Chao have been a couple for 28 years, and their stellar political careers are as vibrant as their shared love affair.

From Governor of Indiana to the 48th Vice president of the United States, Mike Pence is a household name in the Republican Party. At 61, Mike Pence is reportedly a potential candidate for president in 2024, but only time will tell what he will do next.
Whether a future presidential candidate or not, one thing is certain: Pence doesn’t need a change of heart. He married his wife of 36 years in 1985 and they have been inseparable ever since. She is Karen Pence, an American teacher, and painter. They met in the Church and had their first date at the skating rink.

No matter what the challenge, Bill and Hillary Clinton have always found the strength to stay together. They met in college and have remained inseparable ever since: they married in 1975, had their only child in 1980, and continue to conquer the world as a couple.
In 1993, Clinton became the youngest American president in history, serving two terms. He was immensely popular with the American people, but his presidency was marred by a major scandal involving an extramarital affair. In 2016, Hillary was selected as the democratic party’s presidential nominee but ultimately lost the popular vote to Donald Trump.
XVIII. George W. Bush and Laura Bush: 44 years
George W. Bush was the 43rd President of the United States and one of the most charismatic figures in the modern history of the Republican Party. He ruled for two terms and whose presidency was marked by the September 11, 2001, attacks and the subsequent war in Iraq. But could he have accomplished all this without the loving support of his wife of 44 years?
Bush met his wife Laura at a barbecue joint, shortly after getting engaged to another woman. At the time, the future first lady was a teacher and a librarian. George and Laura hit it off almost immediately, and after a brief courtship of only three men, they agreed to marry.
XIX. Ben Carson and Candy Carson: 46 years of marriage
It’s hard to argue with Ben Carson’s biography. The neuro-surgeon turned major political player, most recently serving as the 17th Secretary of Housing and Urban Development of the United States under former President Donald Trump. The Detroit native has been married to author and businesswoman Candy Rustin Carson for more than forty years. Ben and Candy met in 1971 at Yale University and married four years later. They had three children together, all boys.
XX. Andrew Cuomo and Kerry Kennedy: 15 years
Although now is probably not the best time to be praising Andrew Cuomo, it’s fair to say that the governor of New York is one of the most charismatic and powerful political actors in America today. In 2021, he was accused of inappropriate behavior by ten women and refused to step down despite numerous demands from the public and the press. We think that’s exactly Cuomo: always a warrior! Unfortunately, he was unable to prevent the breakup of his marriage to human Rights activist Kelly Kennedy.
